Chemical Substance: Contract Thermal Safety Assessment
Many of the solutions used in our company contain impurities beyond solvents, which can pose hidden dangers.
Therefore, we conduct rigid checks that include the use of various analytical instruments such as the Accelerating Rate Calorimeter (ARC) throughout the process, from distillation process development to refined product shipment.
Drawing upon our vast experience and expertise, we provide comprehensive contract thermal safety assessment tests for chemical substances utilized across diverse industries.
Extensive Track Record (Internal Data)
- Evaluation results are used in production at our factories, including domestic and overseas group companies
- Four ARC (Accelerating Rate Calorimeter) devices on site

Measuring Devices
Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC)
A heat-stable substance is utilized as a reference point, and as the sample’s temperature increases, its behavior is detected by measuring the temperature difference relative to the reference substance.
This is used to screen samples for heat stability by comparing their behavior with that of reagents.
This device measures not only the heat input and output caused by a chemical reaction, but also the melting point, glass transition temperature, and specific heat of a substance.
*Screening test n=1 per DSC is included in the standard.Sample amount required: 2g
If gases from decomposition are produced, qualitative analysis of the gases can also be performed in a separate test.
Accelerating Rate Calorimeter (ARC)
By conducting adiabatic measurements on a sample at a chosen temperature scale, it is possible to analyze changes in temperature, heat content, and pressure, thereby assessing the heat stability of the sample.
The sample undergoes heating due to decomposition and polymerization reactions, and by analyzing the acceleration of the chemical reaction rate according to the Arrhenius law, it is possible to determine the time when the reactions become uncontrollable.
Isothermal tests can confirm the heat stability of the sample under actual conditions.
Sample amount required: 20g
