Analytical Instruments

At Nippon Refine, we carry out over 500 development tests annually related to separation and purification. We use this data in our proprietary software for distillation calculation and VLE calculation, enabling us to quickly respond to customer requests.

We always carefully check the safety of the purification method by using four ARC (Acceleration Calorimeters) and DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimeters), and analysis by ICP-MS, GC-MS, FT-IR, etc. to ensure high quality recycling.

Instruments

Quality Analysis Instruments

ICP-MS

For measuring trace metals in a product. Quality control of organic solvents for electronic materials.

GC-MS

For quality control on the raw materials and products, managing the manufacturing processes, and performing behavior verification of unknown compounds in various tests.

GC-FID/GC-TCD

For quality control on the raw materials and products, managing the manufacturing processes, and performing behavior verification of compounds in various tests.

UV Spectrophotometer

Enables qualitative and quantitative analysis of compounds by exploiting the phenomenon of substance-specific light absorption at different wavelengths.

Karl Fischer Moisture Analyzer

For measuring moisture in raw materials and products.

pH meter

For measuring the pH (hydrogen ion concentration) of liquids.

Thermal Analyzers

DSC

For measuring thermal stability and evaluating whether any compounds decompose or react during high-temperature distillation.

RADEX

For measuring thermal stability and evaluating whether any compounds decompose or react during high-temperature distillation.

ARC

For pre-assessing the thermal characteristics of raw materials to ensure safe distillation operations involving heating processes.

Distillation test apparatus

Oldershaw distillation apparatus

Features a tray structure that closely resembles actual equipment and can simulate raw material behavior during real equipment distillation processes.

Vapor pressure osmometer

For measuring the vapor-liquid equilibrium relationship and performing distillation simulations based on the results.
